Samantha is the Head of Operations at Blackbird Ventures, an Australian tech VC investing in companies aiming to be the best in the world, not just the best in Australia. Before joining Blackbird, she co-founded a Startmate Company, CapacityHQ, a professional services marketplace, and Gravity, a mobile publishing platform. Before that, she led Product and Strategy teams at SurfStitch.com after a career-pivoting move out of corporate law.


John Henderson - Partner at AirTree Ventures

John is a Partner at Airtree Ventures. He works with the best Australian and Kiwi founders to create world-class technology businesses. John was previously a Principal at White Star Capital in London and New York, and also co-founded London.ai, Europe’s leading event for the AI community which is held quarterly in London. Before his current roles, John was the COO of Summly (acquired by Yahoo in May 2013) and has also held roles at Facebook, The Boston Consulting Group and as a lawyer at Linklaters. 


Gillian Findlay - COO of SafetyCulture

Gillian is the Chief Operating Officer of SafetyCulture. She has over 15 years experience in finance, strategy and business development. She started her career in top tier professional services – focused on enterprise risk management – and has held a number of executive positions in listed companies in addition to technology-based startups. In October 2016, SafetyCulture closed a $30 million capital raise led by international venture capital firm Index Ventures.


Anthony Bekker - Head of Operations Strategy of ROKT

Anthony is a legal and strategy specialist with a passion for startups. Anthony is currently working with ROKT, a pioneering digital referral marketing platform, on their global growth strategy and implementation. Anthony loves helping small companies "think big". Amongst his many career twists, Anthony has worked across top-tier professional services firms globally - as a strategy consultant with Booz & Co, as a corporate lawyer with Mallesons Stephen Jacques, and in equities research with Macquarie Bank.
